Collector notes

The Aletai meteorite is a massive iron meteorite shower discovered in Xinjiang, China, with a total recovered mass of over 74 metric tons spread across a 500-kilometer strewn field. Initial piece discovered in 1898. Synonymity: Several large masses found later (including Ulasitai, Akebulake, Wuxilike, and WuQilike) were originally named independently based on nearby locations before scientists realized they belonged to the same cosmic impact event.
