Mexican Flame Agate (also known as Fire Agate) is a banded chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz) with iron and aluminum inclusions. It is found exclusively within the area known as Chihuahua, in Northern Mexico. It is characterized by its vibrant, iridescent flashes of color, often appearing as flames within the stone.
Collector notes
This particular piece has been polished on one side to exhibit its exquisite banding and rare color varieties. The other side has been left "raw" to show it's beautiful natural form.
