Gem silica is a rare, highly valuable greenish-blue variety of chalcedony colored by copper and microscopic chrysocolla inclusions, notable for its vivid saturation and strong translucency. It is the most expensive and prized member of the chalcedony (quartz) family. Microcrystalline quartz (silicon dioxide) infused with copper/chrysocolla. Ranging from vibrant turquoise and robin's egg blue to deep greenish-blue.
