These large crocodiles lived in the cretaceous era along with the dinosaurs! SPECIES Cretaceous crocodiles were incredibly diverse and massive apex predators that coexisted with dinosaurs. Giant semi-aquatic forms like Deinosuchus ("terror crocodile") reached lengths up to 33 feet and preyed on dinosaurs, while terrestrial predators like Kostensuchus hunted with upright legs.
