Rare Unique Polished Oklahoma Stromatolite Half Nodule w/Mayfly Bore Holes 8.5+Lb 6x5"

Incredible old collection find. This ancient piece of Stromatolite contains a large pocket of Mayfly Bore holes. These are often referred to as Ichnofossils. These Ichnofossils (trace fossils) produced by the dwelling activities of ancient freshwater mayfly nymphs create these distinct markings and are usually preserved as U-shaped pouches, tubes, or bore holes left behind in compressed mud (firmground), fossilized wood, or rock substrates
