The Tatahouine meteorite fell on June 27, 1931, at 1:30 am near Foum Tatahouine, Tunisia, and is famous for its olive-green diogenite composition and its name inspiring George Lucas's fictional planet Tatooine. Achondrite diogenite (HED group), composed of large, unfragmented green orthopyroxene crystals and shock-induced melt veins.
